The Director of Development/Fundraising will provide management oversight of the following areas: grants and procurement, agency fundraising and events, social media, website enhancements/presence as well as general associated Development Activities. The Director will Supervise the Development Associate and department support staff.

• Evaluate government and private grants for procurement feasibility.
• Participate in Procurement Bidders Conferences where necessary.
• Expand Social Media Presence.
• Oversee agency website to assure completeness and Up-to-Date Information
• Meet with outside stakeholders to promote the agency and agency mission
• Work with agency Foundation affiliate on events and fundraising
• Collaborate with agency programs on promoting agency-based events
• Supervise Development Associate
• Attend State/Local Program meetings where indicated.
• Develop annual and semi-annual fundraising goals
• Prepare monthly fundraising reports
• Create new methods of reaching target audiences
• Supervise Development department staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Skills, Knowledge, Ability)

• Ability to interact with and complete assignments in a manner sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Communicate effectively
• Ability to understand and use Micro-soft word and Excel
• Ability to interact with community resources

MA/MS or MBA required. Six (6) plus years of Development Management experience; Proven record of public grant procurement, excellent organizational & communication skill and, strong attention to detail.
