All Children's House works primarily with vulnerable at-risk families to help reduce the incidence of child maltreatment and neglect, homelessness, family break-up, other types of traumas and crises, and foster care placement. Through this program, we provide family counseling, parenting support, case management, family support services, respite care, support groups, and therapy. Staff also serve as vital liaisons in a family's encounters with local child welfare authorities. All Children's House uses an evidence-based, trauma-informed practice model known as Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). CPP is specifically designed to treat families with children under the age of 6 with focused, trauma-based therapy sessions intended to repair and/or strengthen the relationship between parent and child. This intensive work usually takes place in a family's home. Families participating in this program are given access to a 24-hour crisis hotline to provide an additional level of support and a sometimes essential safety valve.
