CATHOLIC GUARDIAN SERVICES DEVELOPMENT DIVISION JOB DESCRIPTION FOR

Individual Giving Associate (Open)

About us:
We are looking for a talented Individual Giving Associate to join us as we grow contributed income from individual donors through our direct mail campaigns, ticketed events, and planned giving program.

Catholic Guardian Services helps build stronger families and healthier communities by providing holistic human services for children and families in need regardless of race, religion, creed, or life circumstances. We believe there is a direct connection between a person’s success, health, and happiness, and the strength of their family unit. Powerful external factors such as unmet healthcare needs, chronic poverty, inadequate housing, and drug epidemics, can create overwhelming challenges for families - particularly those who are vulnerable, underserved, and impoverished. Crises can and will affect everyone in a family and could, by extension, affect others in the community. Our approach is to collaborate with at-risk parents, children, and caregivers to resolve issues collaboratively and to pre-emptively avoid crises before they happen. Today and every day, we serve more than 2,000 individuals and 900 families.

About the position:
The Individual Giving Associate will work to increase our supporter numbers and contributed income from individual donors as part of our broader fundraising strategy. Working with the development team, you will plan, produce, evaluate, and implement a mixture of donor recruitment techniques, using both online and traditional media. You will enhance our donor communications and help develop multi-channel fundraising initiatives to engage with current and potential individual donors in the most inspiring and effective ways possible. You will support our board members to activate their networks of potential donors. You will craft compelling stories and outcome reports to inspire individuals and motivate them to donate and make sure they know the value of their support.

Your role is to ensure that our individual donors feel looked after, valued, and understand the impact of their support. This is a varied role, and you will be presented with different challenges daily.

About you:
You will enjoy the challenge of mobilizing and motivating people to get behind our cause. You will have a solid understanding of donor retention techniques and the skills and creativity to deliver a great donor experience. From analyzing our database to creating inspiring direct marketing content and using our digital channels, you will be excited to join a small (but powerful) team to establish, own, and deliver a robust fundraising campaign. You will be given the space and support to develop your ideas and the opportunities to make this a varied and rewarding role.

Key duties and responsibilities:
• Coordinate identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up activities for individual donors;
• Manage social media platforms and create strategic giving campaigns such as Annual Giving Day, Mental Health Clinic Campaign, Celebrate Summer/Scooter Campaign, Back-to-School Giving, Christmas Giving to identify potential donors and engage current followers;

• Provide administrative support for Giving Circles and Guardian Family Legacy Programs;
• Manage Birthday card and Christmas card mailings;
• Write luster letters to donors, volunteers, and clients who achieve milestone successes;
• Conduct prospect research, as assigned;
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Ideal candidate:

• Excellent task, time, and project management skills;
