The Chief Quality Officer (CQO) is responsible for overall information, program and operational quality, compliance, program data tracking, reporting and quality/performance improvement processes across MercyFirst. Working closely with the Executive Team and Senior staff, the CQO oversees data integrity/tracking, reporting, process review and corrective action as part of an integrated agency approach to continuous quality improvement. Activities include case record review, utilization review, stakeholder surveys, annual KPIs/ outcome measures, and more. Responsibilities inlcude data governance, compliance management, policy development, and internal and external leadership related to quality. The CQO works closely with external regulators/evaluators/funders and ensures MercyFirst meets all regulatory and contractual based program performance and facility requirements across the agency. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with requirements set by the Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) and successful compliance with Council on Accreditation and Sanctuary Institute standards. The CQO reports to the CEO, is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and oversees a department of 10.
