    Job Description:

    Position: Program Director Program/Department: Fatherhood Program Reports to: Division Director Hours: Full Time Position Summary: The Fatherhood Initiative will give young and older fathers opportunities to interact through Joint Participation in parenting skills workshops, support groups, and special events with their children. Programs will also assist fathers, including those with prior involvement in the criminal justice system, with achieving employment and education goals and with integrate aspects of conflict management, violence prevention and other support services to help fathers resolve issues and achieve economic security. Responsibilities: • Responsible for developing and managing the FI program • Supervising 5 staff (3 case managers, 2 outreach/retention specialist) • Ensure all applicable regulations and program/contract requirements are met • Hiring and evaluating staff • Ensuring that staff training is completed – providing weekly supervision • Building and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholder and service providers • Ensuring that services provided are consistent with BCS mission and values • Working collaboratively with staff and community partner to build enrollment and support retention • Manage front desk coverage and supervision of the main site/office • Assist with development of funding proposals as needed • Other tasks as may be required. Qualifications: • LMSW or similar field of study • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in direct service environment • Excellent leadership, management, supervisory and team building skills • Entrepreneurial spirit • Provne record of problem solving • Excellent written and oral communication; including public speaking • Enthusiasm for working with empowering low income adults, including people with disabilities • Strong commitment to BCS mission and values
