    Job Description:

    SCO Family Dynamics Preventive Program Director SCO Family of Services - is seeking a Program Director for our Jackson Heights and Corona Family Development Center, a preventive program providing supportive family counseling and case management to families and children in Jackson Heights and Corona, Queens. The ideal candidate has previous experience supervising preventive programs, is committed to working in neighborhood based services with low-income families and can independently manage a program while working as a member of a team. Responsibilities include: • Provide mission focused administrative and clinical leadership for the program. • Provide supervision and training of staff; manage HR related processes. • Lead program in implementation of best practice models. • Identify community needs and innovate services in response. • Collaborate across SCO program areas to enhance relationships and effective practice with shared families. • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community based organizations and public agency partners. • Participate in, and advocate organization’s priorities, at ACS, COFCCA and other meetings and coalitions. • Communicate program objectives, priorities and progress to the appropriate individuals including the Director and AED. • Direct the development and implementation of SCO and funding source policies. • Directly manage crises and provide coverage for client care as needed. • Manage intake process for program and maintain utilization and performance based funding targets. • Collaborate with internal departments including Human Resources, Business Operations, Finance, IT, QI and others. • Track program spending aligned with budget. • Use data to set performance goals and measure outcomes. • Liaise with ACS & OCFS on collaborative QI processes and audit preparation and response. • Participate in Family Dynamics leadership team to develop strategic planning and service integration. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Master Degree in Social Work or related field. • At least 5 years supervising or directing a child welfare program. • Previous direct service work with families. • Self-initiated, motivated and well-organized. • Possess a social justice perspective and ability to collaborate with culturally and socioeconomically diverse groups. • Excellent writing and communication skills. • Facility with OCFS & ACS data systems and Microsoft Office tools. • Flexibility to work occasional evenings to manage crises, attend community events or meetings.
